Project Engineer

Project Engineer – K. Johnson Construction (KJC)
Location: Central Iowa | Full-Time | $60,000–$75,000

KJC is a growing, dynamic construction company making an impact in the central Iowa market. We’re looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our team and support project managers and superintendents in delivering successful projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with estimating, scheduling, and project coordination
• Misc. hands on work (carpentry, cleaning, punch items, framing, trim work)
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and maintain logs
• Attend meetings and record minutes
• Order materials and manage delivery timelines
• Help with permits, budgets, and project close-out

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Self-motivated and coachable
• Preferred: 4-year degree in Construction Engineering or Management
